A recent episode of talk radio program His Side with Glenn Sacks debunked many of the myths regarding "deadbeat dads." The program included call-ins from people who have experienced unfair and unjust child support, including second wives and fathers who are labelled deadbeat dads through paperwork/legal mistakes. You can download the episode in MP3 format here.
A group called Citizens for Legal Responsibility has a web page listing attorneys and judges in NH who have been sanctioned for unethical conduct. It's a good starting point of deciding who you don't want involved in your divorce case. Also, if you have a hard time keeping up with legislation at the federal level, this page on TheOrator.com lists bills being proposed and debated in both the U.S. House and the Senate.
Also, check out the NH Children's Alliance. The Children's Alliance of New Hampshire is a statewide, research based advocacy organization which has worked for more than fourteen years to improve the health and well-being of children in New Hampshire. We believe that preserving the father/child relationship is clearly a component of this, and are working with the group to help promote our common goals.
NCFC-NH has received permission to post an important essay on divorce and family law, written by Maine Superior Court Justice Donald Alexander. This essay is valuable for its insight on the disadvantages accruing to family relationships through the adversarial process and it condemns the current system of law regarding divorcing couples with children. Using excerpts of this essay in legislative testimony for the rights of fathers and children is strongly encouraged, and we hope people from many states will become familiar with this essay.
